Living Our Lives In The Risen Lord

Being a Christian is not easy. That sentence may be startling to many but it is the truth. The Word of God says that we will face hardships and will be persecuted for His sake (Matthew 5:10-12). So what do we do? We remember His word, we arm our selves. We pray. We LIVE.

In this life we are sure to hit what feels like rock bottom at times but there is hope. Our hope as born again believers is in the Risen Lord – Jesus Christ. Christ was at His lowest point right before He gave His life to save ours but He set the example. In the garden of Gethsemane Christ went away by Himself to pray. He poured His heart out to His Heavenly

Father, God Almighty. He cried out to God asking for a way out but He never lost sight of His purpose and the fact that He was in God’s will. The pain that He was about to endure He knew of beforehand and still said yes. This is what being a Christian, a follower of Christ, is about – knowing that what lies ahead will not be easy but still saying YES. Still pursuing the will of God. Still being obedient.

Our Father, the I Am, knows what troubles we face and He knows what we can bear individually. Do you know why? It is because He is the Creator, He chose you and me specifically and with great care. He imparted gifts, talents and strengths to each of us with full knowledge of how He created us. There is NO THING LACKING in you that will cause you to break under the pressures of life or the persecutions and hardships of this world. Rise Up! Live. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
